The app
Soixante-Six counts the bullheads of your games, round after round: tap the cards each player picked up and the app adds them up, the 55 included. A dealer drawn at random, the live game on your Lock Screen, a proper celebration for the winner and an all-time leaderboard for your table.
No account, no ads, no data collected. The leaderboard and player profiles are part of Soixante-Six+, a one-time purchase.
FAQ
How are bullheads counted?
After a round, tap for each player the cards they picked up, family by family: 1 bullhead, 2 (the doubles), 3 (cards ending in 5), 5 (multiples of 10) and the 55, worth 7. The app adds them up and checks that the round is possible for your number of players. In a hurry? “Enter total” takes the round’s bullheads directly on the keypad.
When does the game end?
As soon as a player reaches 66 bullheads, the game ends after that round and the lowest total wins, as the rules say. A tie is a shared win. When you create a game, you can also set a number of rounds: when they are played, the lowest total wins, even without a 66.
Who deals?
Everyone plays at the same time and the rules name no dealer, but someone has to shuffle and deal. The app draws one at random, or you pick one; after that, the player to the left of the previous dealer deals the next round, and the table reminds you.
I made a mistake in a round
In the game, tap “…” then “Correct a round”. Totals and standings update right away.
A player joins or leaves mid-game
Tap “…” then “Manage players”. A new player starts with the highest total at the table, so they get no edge (the lowest total wins here). A player who leaves keeps their rounds in the history.
The game doesn’t show on my Lock Screen
Check Settings › Soixante-Six › Live Activities. The game shows while a game in progress is open in the app, and goes away when you pause it.
Where are my games saved?
Only on your iPhone. They don’t sync between devices, and deleting the app deletes them. See the privacy policy.
What is Soixante-Six+?
A one-time purchase, no subscription, that unlocks the all-time leaderboard (wins, bullheads per round, consistency, titles and records of your crew) and a profile for every player (their card by rank, nickname, form, pick-ups, head-to-heads and records). Everything else in the app is free. The purchase is shared with your family (Family Sharing).
I got a new iPhone or reinstalled the app
Tap the trophy or Settings › Soixante-Six+, then “Restore Purchases”: the purchase comes back with your Apple Account, at no extra cost. Your games themselves are not transferred.
Using the app in French
The app follows your iPhone’s language. To change it for Soixante-Six only: Settings › Soixante-Six › Language.
